Epson UB-S01 Serial RS232 Interface is heavily used in Kitchen environments due to the length of cable that RS232 supports. Many installs may also use an adapter from the 25 pin female connection to a RJ45 connection so that installers can use less expensive CAT 5 cabling through the walls in a restaurant. This adapter is custom made so please make sure that you do not discard your adapter when replacing a printer.
The RS232 port on the printer may be attached to a 9 or 25 pin RS232 port on the PC side. Please be aware that this is not a Parallel port. Although it appears similar to the red or pink LPT1 port on a PC, this is not a parallel connection.
